Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge REVIEW

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge REVIEW

This and the Beauty Blender have been compared loads of times on YouTube and, as I don't feel like spending £16 on a sponge, I purchased this one. I like the airbrushed look a sponge gives, especially with my complexion and uneven textured skin. Sponges are best used damp as they then don't soak up as much product. When damp, this sponge expands nicely and becomes more springy. It applied my foundation, cream blush and cream contour amazingly! I love the flat side for dragging and blending foundation down my neck and on my forehead. I use the tip for concealer as it is very precise and can get into the hard to reach places like in the inner corner and around the nose.
I've just washed it and it has held its shape very well, the pores in the sponge are still small and the texture is still soft and smooth. The only bad thing about this sponge is that it stains easily when you use it for contouring and blush and it is hard to get all of the soap out when you wash it. The colour means that it hides some of the stains and if you were only going to use it for foundation I don't think you would have a staining problem at all.
SCORE: 8/10
