Soph X Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette REVIEW

Hey, long time no see! Here I have a review of the SophXMakeupRevolution eyeshadow palette for you. I have watches Soph (sophdoesnails on YouTube) for years now and I was so excited for this launch. The palette has 24 eyeshadows and I ordered from TAM Beauty for £10 + £4.95 next day delivery (I had a lot of trouble actually getting it so paying for next day delivery was pointless).

The packaging is very pretty and I LOVE the nude colour, though I have only used it a few times and it has gotten super dirty just from being in my makeup bag. The rose gold foil on the box with the watercolour background is stunning; it certainly shows just how much effort went into the smaller details. The mirror is HUGE, which is great for anyone who takes their makeup on the go. The palette feels sturdy and, fortunately, stayed in one piece when it came in the post.

The palette comes with 14 matte shades and 10 shimmers. I absolutely ADORE the red/ pink tones in this palette, especially for autumn. My favourite shades are definitely pumpkin, grow old and strawberry sweets, they are a great combination for a quick and easy look that only takes around 5 minutes. I've liked the look of putting pancakes as a transition shade, putting pumpkin and strawberry sweets in the crease and grow old on the lid. I usually have an issue with shimmery shades not lasting very long on me, but Grow Old stayed on for over 15 hours! I sprayed my brush with Fix+ first to help it to adhere to the eye, but even on its own, it is stunning. All of the mattes feel really soft and apply with even pigmentation, which is great for how affordable the palette is. Most of the mattes are super easy to blend out, I had a little trouble blending out Nightmare, but I mostly use black eyeshadows to softly line my eyes or to set my eyeliner.

With brushes, the shimmer shades show up a little less pigmented, but I was expecting that as I’ve found that they apply better with my finger. Pancakes blends into my skin so they are quite hard to see, but on top of a base, it’s more noticeable.

Overall, I think this palette is stunning and is definitely going to be my go-to for autumn and winter! I think beginners will love this palette and it is easily blendable. I also think this palette caters to all skin tones.

Thank you for reading!
