Amanda Sue Creasey is a high school English teacher who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in German from Michigan State University and a Master's of Liberal Studies degree in Creative Writing from the University of Denver. Her poetry has appeared in Cicada, and her prose in The Christian Science Monitor and The Richmond Times-Dispatch, as well as on lifein10minutes.com and richmond.com. Several of her works are also scheduled to appear or have already been featured in the newly formed digital magazine for writers, writeHackr.
In addition to writing, she enjoys taking long walks with her two dogs (around whom her life revolves), running, growing food in her backyard garden, and spending as much time as possible outside. She also loves spending time with her family. And eating chocolate.
She has lived in Michigan, Wyoming, and Pennsylvania, and spent several months studying abroad in Germany. For the last sixteen years, she has made her home in Virginia, with her husband of nine years (who has always been a good sport about being featured in her writing).
In addition to maintaining Mind the Dog Writing Blog at amandasuecreasey.com, Ms. Creasey is working on her first novel and is a certified integrative wellness and life coach. She is an active member of the James River Writers, and advises her high school's literary magazine and German club.
