We all know that “pumpkin spice everything” has been so pumped up during these last weeks, which makes me feel even more in love with this season. Everything from the way the sun shines to the best crispy sweater weather to the most adorable autumn flavors in my kitchen. All of that gets me in such a positive mood.
Since I have already celebrated the start to pumpkin season, with my yummy pumpkin muffins, I realized that I already have my pumpkin mode activated. The one in which I become a ”PUMPKIN EVERYTHING” freak. But I couldn’t help myself when I saw that I had a little pumpkin puree left over. After a little bit of thinking and wondering, I decided with this: A Pumpkin Pie Smoothie, that doesn’t require an oven. This smoothie tastes like you wrapped in fall and put it into a blender! (If that makes any sense).
But let’s try to imagine this guys! Thick, rich, healthy, creamy AND – wait for it – it tastes like pumpkin pie in a glass. It brings the autumn flavors to your kitchen.
Ok, time out! I know, it’s not really a pie but I’m not trying to trick you guys. I do agree that there is no substitute for pumpkin pie, however this smoothie, is just so easy to make and and at the same time so creamy, full of flavor, and healthy. You will love it, and you will thank me later!

Real pumpkin puree is the base of this smoothie, along with some gluten free oat flakes, mango, coconut milk and dates for some sweetness and a better texture. I topped this pumpkin pie smoothie with cinnamon and coconut cream.
Actually, my secret to a super tasty pumpkin pie smoothie, is really good quality canned, unsweetened and 100% vegan coconut milk. It takes the smoothie to a whole new level.
If I don’t tell you the ingredients of this smoothie and you try it, it might seem like a sugary dessert to you, but this smoothie boasts some incredibly healthy ingredients.
- 2 tbsp organic coconut milk
- 1 cup homemade pumpkin puree (get the instructions here)
- 1/2 mango
- 2 tbsp gluten free oat flakes
- 1 date
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth. Serve sprinkled with additional cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.
