Advice needed

Quick look at opinions.

As part of a challenge I wrote my introduction to my story in the first person rather than the third which it is actually in. A really enjoyed the first person and thought it helped me to get into the character a bit more.

So my question is this, do you prefer to read stories in the first or third person point of view?

It is just something that I would really like to know :-)

(or I suppose I could do what Anne Rice does because Lestat is written in the first person while all the other characters are done in the third person… Did anybody else notice or was it just me?)

I hope to get as many opinions as possible on this.

Thanks for reading and please let me know what you think.

I guess I will just have to decide when I finally finished the first draft!

I think it depends on the story. I love writing or reading in the first person, it makes me feel as though I'm part of the story rather than just looking in. But there's times where writing in the third person just works betters. I read a story that was done in the second person the other day, had a rather different feel to it, but no all together bad!
