In the few last weeks, the sky was hidden under grey clouds crying rain. The streets were empty – no movement. Life was sheltered. Where? – coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, libraries. Rain relaxes me & the best way to enjoy this experience fully – the sounds, the colors, the image of “drowned” city – is by having a cup of good, strong coffee while talking about deep subjects with my dear friends.
Now, the sound of rain is combined with the sound of voices, coffee makers, with the jazz playing softly in the background. The smell of freshly washed, wet streets is combined with the smell of ground coffee, of chocolate & with the smell of right outta the oven baked goods. Every single detail creates a melancholic, chilled atmosphere.
Sipping bittersweet coffee, brainstorming ideas, devouring with pleasure our little sweet treats – the time loses its value. Happiness, relaxation, euphoria, worth, pleasure – these are the feelings we, the people, the place share.
Have a good one people!
xx
