Hello! I am so very excited to get into this review. While this book took me literally forever to read, I did really enjoy it. That book is Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. Without further ado, let's just get into it!

“Nothing is a coincidence. Everything has a purpose. You were meant to come to this castle, just as you were meant to be an assassin.”

When magic has gone from the world, and a vicious king rules from his throne of glass, an assassin comes to the castle. She does not come to kill, but to win her freedom. If she can defeat twenty-three killers, thieves, and warriors in a competition to find the greatest assassin in the land, she will become the King’s Champion and be released from prison.

Her name is Celaena Sardothien.

The Crown Prince will provoke her. The Captain of the Guard will protect her.

And a princess from a foreign land will become the one thing Celaena never thought she’d have again: a friend.

But something evil dwells in the castle—and it’s there to kill. When her competitors start dying, horribly, one by one, Celaena’s fight for freedom becomes a fight for survival—and a desperate quest to root out the source of the evil before it destroys her world.”

My Thoughts:

This book was so good. It did take me forever to read because it is high fantasy, and I am not a huge fan of high fantasy, but it was still fabulous. I loved all of the characters (minus Kaltain and the assholes in the book), and I am super excited to see what will be happening in the next book. I literally have no clue. I have no theories. And there is something really exciting about that. I loved Sarah J. Maas’s writing, and I hope to read more of her. I highly recommend this book.

I gave this 4/5 stars.

What aspect of this novel makes you the most excited to pick this baby up? For me, it was just literally everywhere. I knew I would love it because it is fantasy, my favorite genre, but it was just literally everywhere. It was all over Bookstagram, Booktube, Tumblr, Goodreads, you name it. But that is going to be it for this review today. Thank you all so much for reading this, I hope you enjoyed it, and I will see you next time.
