Book review example ("Lord of the Flies")

I read this book in the childhood and evaluated it as the terrific misadventure of the group of schoolboys. But recently, I have decided to read this book for the second time. And, this allowed me to look at the novel differently. This has opened my eyes to a lot of interesting things hidden for me in the childhood. Also, I realized that the novel can be interpreted in many ways. 

"Lord of the Flies" is a novel by William Golding about survival. It's considered a classic literature. In the Modern Library, it takes on the 41st place. 

The story is about two groups of schoolboys living on the uninhabited island and fighting against each other. When they made it to the island, initially, they were enjoying their freedom from the adults, but after some time, this freedom is slowly turning into the desperate survival. A reader can observe how a group of English schoolboys is morphing into the mob, terrorizing and killing each other. This is a story of the bloodthirsty cruelty of children who tried to survive desperately. 

When they started to realize that they wouldn't get any help, they developed rules to regulate their everyday life, state, and the arrangement of their little society. They elected a leader of their group Ralph. He was charismatic and pragmatic simultaneously. This guy knew a little more than other boys and was voted a leader of the group. 

Also, in the story, a reader met Piggy. This is a compassionate and clever, but clumsy character who played a role of Ralph's conscience. 

But then in the novel, another strong character appeared and is opposed to Ralph. This is Jack who argued against Ralph and has his own fan base supporting him. This character is a symbol of the natural force. When all these characters were united into the one whole, they succeeded to build a successful, thriving village for several days. 

After that, the tribe was divided into two parts. The first one was led by Ralph, and the second one was led by Jack fighting against each other. Jack's tribe demonstrated a huge cruelty and brutality. And, the culmination of the novel is killing Piggy by Jack's tribe. This act demonstrates the death of the rational thought and civilized behavior.
