PLL returned with a solid setup to the finale. Hanna flies solo while the girls make some interesting revelations.
Hanna went on her own way as she decides to handle Noel on her own. She leaves the girls and tries to drug Noel in a very amateur way. She should've pulled a Princess Bride and gave herself the drugged drink, right?
In other news, Spencer finds the flash drive that proves Noel was helping Charlotte when they were in the dollhouses. So why did Noel help Alison back in Season 4 and 5? Before he came on this season, we were led to believe that Noel was just trying to help Ali. Very inconsistent, but whatever. How sad was it to see Spence relive that awful time in her life?
Emily also helps Spencer, but she has a hard time dealing with everything, so she leans on Paige instead of Sabrina. Poor Sabrina, her scenes are super awkward to watch when we see Emily throw up all her walls. Paige is great, but she she almost seems a little too great in this episode. I mean, she had a very devilish smile as she saw Sabrina at the end.
We also see Aria and Jason reunite, and I'm not going to lie, they were so hot together. I mean, I remember back in Season 2 when I was dying for their relationship to be explored, but the Ezria fandom was too strong. I'm glad it's being seen now, and Jason was so mature in this episode. He comforted Aria and told her she was meant to be with Ezra without any spite in his voice. To be honest, I'm lowkey shipping these two together. We also see that Noel's father was the judge, so that makes things ten times more interesting as we see Aria and Jason question the adoption of his sibling.
Spencer also got some Marco scenes, as he comforts her too, but I mean, that promo with Spoby shows they're unstoppable. I'm super excited for next week's finale. This season has been really solid, and I'm looking forward to seeing the mid-season end with a bang.
