5 Untold Healthy Recipes for Diabetes Patient

  • Vegetable Chila (Pancake)


Ingredients: 1 cup mung dal flour or multi-grain mix flour, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 2 teaspoons finely chopped coriander leaves, ½ cup grated carrot & cabbage, 1 green chilli finely chopped, ¼ teaspoon turmeric and enough water to make the batter.

How to make the chila: You need to mix all the ingredients well and add enough salt and water to make a fine batter. Now take a pan and grease it with either oil or ghee. Stir the batter and evenly and cook the batter for approx 2 mins till it turns golden.


  • Methi Thepla


Ingredients: 50 gm. millet flour, 50 gm. yellow gram flour, 1 cup fenugreek leaves, 2 tsp. coriander leaves, 2 tsp. ginger-garlic paste, 2 pinch turmeric powder, ¼ tsp. red chilli, 1 crushed green chilli (optional), 2 tsp. ghee. Add some salt to taste

Method: Blend the millet and yellow gram flour together. Now add the chopped coriander and fenugreek leaves. The next step is to add all the ingredients and ghee to set up a delicate batter. Use a little water as well whenever required. Fold it into chapattis. Heat the two sides on a hot frying pan and serve hot. This less carb, high protein thepla is the most ideal alternative for lunch and supper.


  • Dalia Salad


Ingredients: Chickpea split broiled (Chana daal dalia split) ¼ cup, squashed onion or onion juice 2 tsp., hacked coriander leaves ½ tsp., chaat masala (discretionary) 1 squeeze.

Method of preparation: The method for this food item is to crush the chickpea split with all the other ingredients well and serve it. This healthy and low carb meal can be eaten between any time of the meal.


  • Tofu Spinach Masala


Ingredients: 2 teaspoon oil, 1 squeeze cumin,1/4 tsp slashed garlic, 1 onion,1/2 tsp green stew glue, 1/2 tsp garam masala, salt according to taste. Garcia natural product 5 gm, Spinach 1 bundle, Tofu – cut (soy paneer) 1 cup, coriander leaves 5 gm.

Method for preparing this recipe: Firstly, remove the stem from the spinach and wash it under boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Grind the spinach to make a paste. Heat the oil in the frypan add cumin and chopped garlic, stir well till light brown. Add onion with remaining spices, stir for 2-3 minutes. Add spinach puree and tofu cubes and mix well. Simmer for 10 minutes and serve hot.


  • Boiled Vegetables


Ingredients: Take one cup each of medium-sized sliced bottle gourd, white pumpkin, yellow pumpkin, soft gourd and onion. For garnishing purpose take ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder, 3 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves and salt to taste.

Method of preparing: Steam the sliced vegetables till all the vegetables become soft. After this, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a pan and add black pepper and then add the boiled vegetables to the pan. Sauté this for 2-3 minutes, after this garnish this with coriander leaves. You can eat this low-fat ingredient as and when you feel hungry during the day time.
