Be the Change You Want to See in the World.

Be the Change You Want to See in the World.

The world is constantly changing, growing. It isn't always for the best though. In the world today we see a lot of pain and suffering, and it's heart breaking. I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be like that. We as people can make an impact on the world around us.

If you are a Christian I can tell you that we are called to be the Salt and The Light of the world. If you are not a Christian I can tell you that you are called to just be a decent Human being. We are told in this society that being rude to people, making comments on how people look, act, and work. Is okay regardless of if it is positive or not. Why don't we just break that mold? Why do we have to follow everything that society tells us to do?

"Be the change you want to see in the world"

I originally heard this quote when I was a Junior or Sophomore in high school, and it was painted over my History Teachers door. Her class was the last one I was in during the day, and I would always leave that room, and tell myself that quote. It has stuck with me, and I'm in my junior year of college now. I think on this quote quite often because I have to ask myself, what change do I want to see in the world?

The cliche answer would be -I want world hunger to end or -I want world peace. Those are great things to strive for, but I want to challenge myself, and challenge you to dig a little deeper into the subject. What can you do personally to be able to cause the change? Maybe, it is you being kinder during your day. Maybe it's finally talking to that person who has been on your heart. Maybe it's sharing your testimony, and speaking into someones life. It doesn't have to be something huge. I want to challenge you to perform a random act of kindness. If you do that I can almost guarantee that you will start to see a change in the world around you, and you will be able take notice of Peoples lives around you.
