So this week focuses on books you will never read and I have quite a few series that I quit because I simply grew bored of them or there were too many books! There are also series that I was told to read but didn't want to and some of them will probably be an unpopular opinion.

1) House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

There are just so many books in this series, it’s ridiculous. I’m proud of how far I got before I quit, I think I got up to Burned which is the seventh novel. The covers were absolutely gorgeous but I just grew so tired of this series because it was never-ending and I was starting to lose interest. There was so much drama in these books, it was hilarious. The story was quite good at times but I got so sick of how Zoey was portrayed. If you managed to reach the end of these books, you should seriously give yourself a pat on the back. I think my limit for a series is six books and then I’ve had enough. I think there are twelve altogether in House of Night and that’s just way, way, way too many books for me.

2) The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith

I actually really enjoyed these books when I first started reading them but then the whole drama thing happened. L.J. Smith wasn’t allowed to continue these books and instead a ghost writer was hired to finish them. I got up to Phantom which is the eighth book and then I just didn’t continue. I just had no interest in reading the rest of the books with a different author and I was just happy watching the tv show instead.

3) Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

This might be an unpopular opinion but I read Vampire Academy and absolutely hated it. I honestly have no idea how I managed to finish these books because they were so awful. My friend lent me all of them so I didn’t have to buy them, luckily. She told me about the spin-off series Bloodlines and I was just like no, thank you. I have zero interest in reading these books just because of how much I disliked Vampire Academy.

4) Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

I read this in June and I was not a fan, at all. I was really shocked by how many mistakes were in this book and I didn’t really enjoy the writing or the characters. I felt like all of the scenes were really rushed and it just went by too quickly, there was hardly anytime to absorb what was happening. These books are a trilogy and since I didn’t like the first one, I highly doubt I’ll like the other two. So this will probably be an unfinished series, sadly.

5) Teardrop by Lauren Kate

I don’t think I’m ever going to read this. I’ll admit when it first came out, I was curious. But after struggling through the Fallen series it’s just put me off her books. That series starts off so freaking good but then it slowly got worse and worse. So I don’t think I’ll be reading this anytime soon. Plus the synopsis doesn’t really interest me, either. The cover is nice, though.

So these are just some series I will probably never read or finish reading. I'm not saying these books are bad, just that they're not for me. In fact, I've seen loads of people say how much they love these books and I can see why, but sadly they didn't really stand out for me. What books/series will you never read? Let me know in the comments!
