When you are always on the go, you get hungry of course! It’s easy to want to just grab something quick and head out to do whatever you have to do for that day. But, that doesn’t mean you have to give in to the drive-thru all the time. Making healthy snacks ahead of time and keeping them ready in the fridge is a lot easier and better for you (especially in the department of saving money). And that doesn’t mean you have to eat tasteless peas and lima beans either. Eating healthy can be just as fun as you make it. And, just as tasty! I want to share with you a few snacks that I myself really enjoy!
Fruit- This is the easiest snack you can get for yourself that comes with a heck of loaded taste. I love fruit. My favorites are: strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, and sooo much more.
Turkey Wraps- If you are looking for something a little heavier I would go for something like this. You can get whole wheat wraps from the grocery store and just stuff them until you feel like they are done. I use turkey, lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese, etc.. The more colorful it is, the better it will taste.
Dark Chocolate- This is actually proven to be good for you (in small amounts). It has the power to improve blood flow and lower blood pressure. It can also lower the risk of cardiovascular disease.
D.I.Y. Trail Mix- This is my absolute favorite. You can get as creative as you possibly can with this. All you do is combine a mixture of some of your favorite things you like to munch on and BAM! Instant trail mix. Here’s a chart that might help get your creative juices flowing:
