Hi lovelies!
Hope you're all well! Now today I thought I'd write the first in a series of blog posts about the 'transformation' of my room, later this year I will be moving into a new house with my parents which I wont be in for a huge amount of time as hopefully I'll fly the nest, as it were, soon. However I thought I'd make the most of the opportunity of designing my own room and document the process of layout, up cycling current or second hand furniture and haul the little bits and pieces I may purchase to decorate.
So for this segment I'm going to show you colour pallets and room inspo I have gathered so far, which means for the past month or so I have been very much addicted to trawling through Pinterest!
Colour Pallet:
So for walls, they are a off white/grey colour, just the same as the whole house, but from there on its my choice. Overall I'm going for a pink, grey and gold theme -
Soft furnishings -
To help carry through this theme, I'm thinking of Pink or grey bedding with grey and pink cushions to accent, then using a white and grey faux fur throw to dress the bed, inspired by -
And for artwork and added decoration, I'm going to keep it simple, thinking fairy lights, monochrome prints, thin gold frames and pressed flowers between glass, simple but pretty and rustic.
Let me know, how would you decorate your room if you got the chance? What colours or themes? Also do you have any suggestions for what I can do or add to my plans?
Until next time...
