Looking at the City
Painted in a gray dawn
Like King's Mist unleashed
Only the monsters drown
In the deep waters
Separating our acquaintance
I ran to the window
In a moment of silence
Like a kid drawn
To aquarium tanks
Wishing our worlds were one
Every time I land here
I'm drawn like a moth to light
All I can see is happiness
Rolling across the wooden shells
As the buildings grow small
I pull away from the window
Because there is a familiarity of return
A glimpse at the final puzzle piece
Waiting to become whole
Once again.
