These days I stop and look
At the powdery clouds
And wonder what this
Was all for
Racing down the Cascade valleys
Only to stop halfway
Between both sides of my heart;
Just a stop along the causeway
This little town has become
The bridge over the artery
Where I watch as time
Floats away, watching me pass by
Separating and aggregating
Trying to mend a shattered whole;
Only time will tell
Where my footsteps will end
But for now I wish
I could be washed away downstream
To the ocean of my own vacancy.
