cool nose nudges, lap kiss smudges
flop, roll, turn, squirm
massive tail sting whacks
toothy-slobber manic attacks
puppy size unrealized
but a hundred pound bear size
gruff throat growls
vicious canine chatter
keep pace, run and chase
menacing fence line clamor
thick pawed, sharp clawed
rip, rake, obliterate
tender irises and daffodils
and intimidate those outside the gate
