How to be a better morning person

Hi everyone!

I understand the struggle when it comes to be a morning person, you keep watching videos, reading blogs or Instagram accounts of very healthy people and you say to yourself "I want that but I will never wake up at 5 AM to go to the gym". Hello, that was me too! and I thought they might have been like that too when they started, it is so true "a little progress each day adds up to big results".

So I have started doing small changes to help me be more proactive and organized

I believe our body is wise and knows what it needs and when it needs it, if you are like me, you might wake up with no appetite and it's not particularly a bad thing but it will be easier to fall into temptation of fast or junk food. 

Here is what is working for me:

  • After office work out. I have prove it opens my appetite in the morning. 
  • Prepare your clothes & lunch the night before. This will help you to have order, a calm morning makes a difference in the mood you perform at work. 
  • Sleep with windows open. Let the sunshine wake your body and enough oxygen in the room.
  • Set a happy music alarm to wake up to. 
  • Drink a glass of cold water. Know your body can wake up dehydrated. 
  • Yoga morning session. Invest 15 minutes on stretching your body, remember you were in bed for at least 7 hours. 
  • Shower. A nice and warm shower will wake you up completely and you will feel better. 
  • Eat breakfast.
  • Say good morning to everyone! 

 I have notice a change on my attitude towards long days in the office if I spend time to make myself feel better in the morning. 

I encourage you to have more of a "me time" and remember to not be hard on yourself and stop comparing yourself to other people, everyone is different and let your body tell you what suits you best. 

If you want to start with a light breakfast (like I did) here is my top 3 list of green juices. 

My favourite base is Nopal  (cactus) it is good for digestion, weight loss, improve sleep, metabolic activity, skin health, diabetes, and more. 

  • Nopal 2 tbs, water 500 ml, cucumber 2 tbs, honey 1 tbs and 1 half of a lemon/lime juice (the green one)
  • Nopal 2 tbs, water 250 ml, pineapple 2 tbs and orange juice 250 ml
  • Nopal 2tbs, water 500 ml, banana 1 and  1 half of lemon/lime juice (the green one)
