Going the Distance Book Review.

Going the Distance Book Review.

This is a review from my blog: http://www.donnasthoughtsonbooks.wordpress.com

This is the first time I have read this author. I was given this book to read for an honest review.

I have to tell you the excerpt that I read got me intrigued. That is why I told the author I would read the book. I am looking forward to reading the others in this series as well.

Samantha or Sam as she is known by in the book was out on the town in Vegas with her two BFF's when she was approached by what looked like security guards telling me that someone wanted to talk to her. She blew them off. Then the man himself came over to talk to her. He was crude and she was not having any part of it. She ended up slapping the hell out of him.

Trent "The Punisher" Page could not believe that one a woman turned him down, and two she slapped him. He usually got what he wanted when he wanted it. He was not turned down by women ever.

Sam wrote for a newspaper and her boss told her that he had a job for her. She needed to interview this boxer that never gave interviews, not even when he won. When he told her the name she tried like everything to get someone else to do the interview. She did not tell her boss that he will probably not give her an interview due to the fact that she had turned him down in Vegas and slapped him on top of it. She went to her desk and began to do some research to try to get information on him to get the interview off to a better start.

Sam goes to the gym where Trent works out and when Trent comes outside to see who it is that is waiting for him he is floored to see it is her. Sam's mouth goes dry as Trent comes outside. He is so hot and she has to put that away to focus on the task. When Trent asks her what she wants she tells him she is there to get an interview with him.

Trent could not believe the nerve of her first turning him down and slapping him in a club in front of everyone, but now she is there to try and get an interview from him. He laughs in her face and tells her no way in hell.

They talk for a few more minutes and pretty much she is told the only way she will get an interview is if she sleeps with him. She is not going to let that happen. She is going to be a professional and get the job done. She comes up with a plan to get him to do the interview and even though he can't see any other way to get it he relents and sees what she has come up with.

They do a few things together that she has planned (but I am not going to tell you, you will have to read them to find out what they were and what happened and the reason why she chose those things).

As they did the things she set up they start to grow closer. They don't realized how close they are growing, if they do they are fighting it with everything they have. The more time they spend together the more they get to know each other in certain ways.

Now I am not going to tell you everything that happens in this book, if I tuned you in to all of the highlights there would be no reason for you to grab the book and read it, so I will leave what happens for the rest of the book for you to discover. But, I will leave you with some questions you can ask yourself and find the answers to as you read the book.

Does Sam get her interview and if she does, does she have to sleep with him to get it?

What does Trent think of all of the things that Sam has set up for them to do?

How close do they get to each other?

Do they get together?

You will love this book if you read it.

Thank you for reading my blog. I would love to hear from you.

Here is a link for the book.

Until Next Time: Happy Reading.
