Don't Grow Weary in Well-Doing

Don't Grow Weary in Well-Doing

Transitions are inevitable in life. During seasons of transition it is not uncommon to grow weary.  Often our hearts still cling to the familiar and try to find comfort in what we know.

We all get discouraged, but we have to learn to feel the discouragement and keep going. We must be determined to stay the course until we’ve finished the race.

In Galatians 6:9 Good News Translation (GNT), “So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.”

There are days when we feel worn out from the battle.  It is those days we need to be fortified and lifted up in our spirit.  Take heart and come before God. Sit at His feet, lay your head on his lap, and listen . . .  Read His Word, listen to a Christian song and allow His words to wash over your weary worn out soul and be refreshed.

I think we’ve all been there at least once in our lives: Ready to give up when it seems like the burden has become too much to bear. It could be a relationship, a job, an illness, or maybe even life itself… the feeling of just throwing in the towel seems like the best thing to do (at least at the moment anyway).

The best thing to do when you feel like giving up is turn to the Word of God.. The Bible is full of encouragement for any and every situation we could possibly face.

Be Fervent in Prayer!

"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

"I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:12-13

"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer." Romans 12:12

"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13:7

"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6

Many blessings await you!
