Hello there! My name is Emily, a blogger at Midwestern Book Nerd, and I am so excited to be a part of the My Trending Stories team!
I am mostly a book blogger. I like to read book, get overly invested in books, discuss books and repeat. My go to genre is typically YA fantasy, but I notice that I do bounce around from time to time, making my reading more broad. On top of reading books I like to discuss book-ish things, such as the reasons I am such a book nerd, my weird book quirks, etc. I may not be the fastest reader, but my love for it knows no bounds. I feel that books are the best way to connect with people all over. Without books I wouldn't have met some of the awesome and amazing book bloggers I have through the book community.
A few random facts about me:
- I am an avid MN sports fan! GO VIKES! TWINS! WILD! (I am originally from Minnesota, butI live in the heart of WI guys, rough).
- I have a large sweet tooth (we are currently cutting carbs/sweets which is killing me inside).
- I am married. He and I dated in high school, but have known each other since 5. But believe me, at 5 years old it was not meant to be. He is my best friend and I am so happy to be with him.
- I hate winter. So please, remind me why I live in the upper Midwest...
- I am a HUGE binge watcher. These binges include some of the following titles...Stranger Things, Daredevil, Once Upon a Time, Poldark, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, etc.
- I am most definitely a Harry Potter nerd. I was at a loss when I got sorted into Gryffindor on Pottermore TWICE when every quiz I had ever taken claimed me as a Ravenclaw. I had accepted my Ravenclaw life, and was happy to not have to be the brave one. So naturally this has been something to recover from.
- I am a Disney lover. Seriously, it's hard to find a Disney movie that I don't like.
- I am a Christian. I know that religion and beliefs can be a tricky subject given the world we live in an the wide variety of beliefs, but I think this is important to know about me. And with that said, I want you to know that I will not shove my beliefs down your throat and am always open to discussion about my views and beliefs.
