This is my 8th an last blogmas post. For Day 7 of my 8 days of blogmas, I gave Christmas party activity ideas. One of the activities was to watch movies. There are a ton of great Christmas family movies but I somehow managed to narrow this list down to 10 good ones.

1. This Christmas

This Christmas is a great family movie. In this movie, the "Whitfield" family spend Christmas together and It's filled with drama but it is also funny. There are also several well-known actors in this movie.

2. The Nightmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a great Tim Burton movie in which Jack Skellington from Halloweentown ends up in Christmastown.

3. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Set in Whoville, the Grinch wants revenge and plans to ruin Christmas for the whole town. Here's a clip showing why the Grinch hates Christmas.

4. Home Alone

The Home Alone movies surround the story of an 8-year-old boy that was left home alone accidentally. Little Kevin plans to decorate his house with Christmas decorations when burglars try to break in. This movie hilarious and here is a clip of when Kevin planned a booby trap.

5. Elf

Another funny Christmas movie is Elf starring Will Ferrell as an abnormally tall elf who was raised in the North Pole and sent to live in the U.S.

6. A Christmas Carol

There are several versions of this story but the particular one that is in the clip is Disney's A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge. It's a good family animated film.

7. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Everyone knows the classic story of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. This movie was released in the 60's and is still being played on TV specials today.

8. The Polar Express

This beautiful 3D animated movie  is very inspiring and successful. It's a story about a young boy that goes on an adventure to the North Pole by the Polar Express train and learns a few things on the way.

9. A Charlie Brown Christmas

Another Christmas classic family film is A Charlie Brown Christmas in which Charlie Brown directs a play and discovers the true meaning of Christmas.

10. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

This film about the troubles the Griswald family encounters on their Holiday vacation is quite funny and sentimental. Here is a clip from the beginning.
