My birthday is looming in. In two weeks I'll be 25 y.o! What's so special about my birthday is that the day after is my mom's birthday! My parents and eldest brother always said that my mom spent her birthday at the hospital after giving birth to me, there were balloons and chocolate...

At 24 years old, I learned a couple of things I want to share with you as inspiration:

1. Don't beg people to see your worth cos they never will. Unless you want to look like a fool.

2. Stop caring about people who don't give a damn if you die tonight.

3. Alone and lonely are two different things.

4. Never try to impress a man.

5. It's easier to find like-minded people on social media!!!

6. In one's hesitation, you find your answer.

7. You cannot change the direction the wind blows but you can always adjust the sails.

8. It's never too late.

9. Psychiatry is sham medicine.

10. Pet shops are evil. Adopt a stray cat. Take home that stray dog. Zoos are just as evil.

11. Look at the mileage of your money if you buy from second-hand clothing stores!

12. Why buy a magazine when I can read Women's Health or Cosmo on the internet??

In addition, I took up reading contemporary poetry.  I also got into the habit of buying books that stock up my ebook shelf that I never finish reading. The first real book I read after a long dormancy was Before I Go to Sleep by E.J Watson. I slowly  lost interest in reading romance and chick lit books and got hooked into psychological thrillers.

What have you learned so far in your earthly life? Tell me all about it in the comments!
