I still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing.  My roommate woke me up saying he heard there was a bad plane crash and turned on the tv. We watched in disbelief, all classes were cancelled for the day and I don't think we moved from in front of the tv.
I clearly can still see all those people jumping from the towers, I felt sick.

After that day, what I saw was amazing, everybody came together as a country. We were Americans, we didn't care about race or religion we only cared that we had been attacked and instead of becoming broken and defeated, we joined together and we stood up for our home, we proved that our pride was bruised but unbreakable.

Today we mourn the families lost and the heroes that sacrificed themselves for others, today we stop fighting each other and pointing fingers and remember all the lives that were impacted by an event that brought us all together 15 years ago.

Today I don't care what color your skin is or who to pray to, let us all join hands around our red white and blue and not let any of those victims die in vain.

We need to bring that American pride back, the kind that made me proud to be an American.

Today we stop fighting and we respect the lost.

Today we never forget.
