Benefits of Baking Soda

Who knew this age-old powdery substance known as baking soda has so many beneficial natural qualities to it that are much better for the environment and provides an excellent resource for your health as a whole.

So dump those laden filled chemically induced products and try a more traditional approach. Check out these five great benefits for using Baking Soda.

TEETH

Step One: Chuck the fluoride filled toothpaste brands and try something old but something new such as a good old product like Baking Soda. So why make the switch? Why should you avoid consuming fluoride?  

Well, fluoride is a chemical substance used in mostly all commercially popular toothpaste brands and unknown to most people fluoride in high doses is actually a poison and possesses dangerous risks if fluoride toothpaste in ingested in general. These risks include acute toxicity, skin rashes, stomach ailments. Hence, the warning not to ingest toothpaste. Might be the reason you may feel a slight tummy ache if you allow your fluoride filled toothpaste to be consumed while brushing.

Although in a low dosage of fluoride is included in many toothpaste brands one must wonder why it's even included at all since it does little to nothing to stop actually stop tooth decay, there are other natural ways to keep teeth healthy and  O and that it's a POISON!

  • 2 tablespoons organic coconut oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 10-15 drops of peppermint oil

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl until creamy and store in a small container.

  • Mix one part baking soda with three parts water
  • Apply it on damp hair
  • Leave it in for a few minutes
  • Then wash your hair with warm water

BODY

Baking soda acts as an excellent scrub for the skin & also for any rough patches.

Ingredients:  

  • 2 tbsp of baking soda
  • 1 tbsp of lukewarm water

Directions:

  • Blend ingredients to make a paste
  • Wet your face or body then apply the paste on in a circular motion
  • Rinse with water and repeat every day for great effects.

FEET

Baking Soda virtually eliminates fungal infection, and help to soften the skin too! Help keep your feet soft and clean using two simple ingredients of milk and baking soda. Milk is excellent for adding moisture to the skin. Cleopatra was known for her famous milk baths that kept her skin beautiful. Milk not only has an antiseptic quality that is both antibacterial and anti-fungal, but it also has Beta hydroxy, a lactic acid.1

Ingredients:

  • 2 or 3 cups of milk
  • Baking Soda
  • Good -sized bowl to fit both feet.

SKIN

The benefits of baking soda on your skin help to tighten skin. A scrub of baking soda treats acne and pimples, removes blackheads, maintains skin pH, exfoliates dead skin cells, and can lighten dark spots.

Mask Ingredients:

  • Baking Soda (sodium bicarbonate)
  • 1 teaspoon organic apple cider vinegar
  • ½ lemon squeezed
  • ½ glass water

Directions:

  • Mix water and apple vinegar. In a separate bowl add some baking soda and slowly mix in water with apple cider vinegar. After, add lemon juice and stir until it forms a paste.
  • Wash your face well to open pores, Dry your face with a soft cloth. Apply the natural mask evenly. Leave the mask to act for 5-10 minutes. Then wash your face with warm water to close the pores.

After a few uses, you’ll begin to notice improvements and your facial skin will regain a natural healthy glow to it too.
