2016 has brought us mixed emotions and wonderful things in life. It opened new opportunities and we met new people to love. And of course, we faced short backs and learned new things along the way.

So let me tell you guys few things I learned in 2016 that made me a better version of myself.

STAY ON TRACK, DON’T LET DISTRACTION REDIRECT YOUR GOALS.

I’m a person who loves to plan, keep my goals on track but unfortunately, I’m a person who can easily get distracted by certain things. Well, I guess most of us are like that. So, last year I learned that it’s important to stay focus on your goals because we might miss great opportunities if our eyes and mind are wandering in other directions. And at the end, we might regret it all.

SOMETIMES WAITING GAME IS A GOOD GAME

You never know what God has in store for you. So, I’ve been praying for something for quite some time now and I’m all wondering if He can hear me or what because I’m so behind the deadline I have for myself. Little do I know there’s a good reason why I’m still waiting for my prayer to be answered. God has a better idea than I had in mind. Way better that I could never imagine it’s possible to happen. God surprised me with the great provision that made me cry for He is making my most impossible dream come true. Sometimes delayed and unanswered prayers are good results of God’s amazing blessings in our life.

EXPECT WHAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN

I’m having a hard time learning this but 2016 taught me this so well. In my 25 years of existence, I’m the type of person who is expecting things negatively. Yes, I’m a bit pessimistic I admit it. But last 2016 I started to think the other way around. I expected not the unexpected but the things I want to happen. It’s about having faith on things that don’t happen yet. Claiming that God already gave it to you.

DON’T STOP DISCOVERING YOURSELF

Us girls or boys, we should never stop discovering our other potentials. We should keep searching new things to learn or skills to develop. You might surprise yourself that you have it in you. 2016 taught me that I can bring my writing skills to the next level. Being a creative writer is just one of my frustrations but look at me now I’m living my dream. My writing is not that as good as the professionals but I hope my readers can get something from what I’m scribbling here.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO JUMP AND DIVE IN

Well, I always tell this to myself that I shouldn’t be afraid of taking risks and I kind of overcome it in 2016. Forget all what ifs, doubts or hesitations. Jump and dive into impossible things in life. You might rise up with the version 2.0 of you.

So, these are the top 5 things I learned in 2016. It’s time to chase not people but our own awesomeness. Share the things you learned in 2016.
