With a new beauty product coming out every week, it's hard to keep up with everything on the market. While some products are hyped through marketing, others fly under the radar and can be hidden gems among a mountain of foundations, primers, and palettes. Check out my top 5 underrated beauty products that, in my opinion, we should be raving about!

1. Ulta Professional Matte Prime(r)- Link

This product is two words: absolutely amazing. Ulta's matte primer does an incredible job of keeping my face makeup in place throughout the day. I have combination skin and in the summer my oily  T-zone can act up but this really does keep me shine-free. On top of it all, this product is paraben-free, oil-free, and contains 1.5% salicylic acid. This primer comes out with a slightly thick-gel like consistency, however, when you blend it out it doesn't feel thick or clog pores.

2. L'Oreal La Palette Nude 2 - Link

It wasn't until recently the drugstore started shifting their eyeshadow options from just singles and quads to palettes...so hooray for expanded options! While I love some of my more pricey palettes, I'm a huge fan of quality affordable makeup. The L'Oreal La Palette line launched springtime of 2015 but I often feel they are a highly overlooked product in the drugstore realm .

There are 10 colors, ranging from lighter neutrals to dark browns and purples, with a mix of shimmer and mattes. I love that this is an all-inclusive palette in which you could easily create a bunch of different looks or go from day to night. I find the colors are easy to apply and blend, and most shades are quite pigmented. Over all the eyeshadows don't last quite as long as say Urban Decay ones, but with a good primer these last almost a full work day!

3. L'Oreal Paris Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray - Link

While my hair dye box recommends every 4-6 weeks to redye, college and other commitments make it hard to stick to that schedule. But thanks to L'Oreal's Dual Protect Spray, I only have to redye about half as often! This Vibrancy Spray prevents fading from the sun, heating products, and works to seal in color. I simply spritz this into wet hair and let it do its magic.

4. Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer - Link

Tarte is well known for their blushes and recently expanded in the lipstick and foundation department. However, one product that gets put to the wayside is their BB Tinted Moisturizer. It's great at creating a smooth finish with light-medium coverage that blends flawlessly with fingers or a brush. I don't find it cake-y in the slightest and it's long lasting even in the hot summer months.

5. Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color - Link

This isn't a true liquid lipstick that dries down and clings to your lips...but it is an amazingly pigmented and comfortable lipstick. As you can see from my swatch of the shade I own  ("Addiction), there is a slight sheen to it so "matte lip color" may be a little deceiving. As someone with dry lips, these Revlon lipsticks are one of the most comfortable ones I've ever worn. I find with the apply-blot-reapply technique, they last around 4 hours and leave a beautiful stain.
