1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says “Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.  It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful. It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (NET)  To keep myself on track I find it a good practice to read this passage with my name in it.  Ray is patient, Ray is kind, Ray is not envious and continue through the verses.  When I get to a phrase and I find it doesn’t seem to fit me, I know that part of my life and attitude needs work.  I also need to realize there is no way I can say that I fit into the verses perfectly, but I do know that as I continue to examine and correct myself I can become more Christlike.

My challenge for you would then be to read the verses, inserting your own name and see how well you fare.  Then self examine and make an effort to improve.
