I'm sorry that it has been so long since I've written a blog I've been working with the editor to finalize everything for my book and now I'm in the final stage of book design edits and marketing plans...almost there!

I want to highlight a something that I recently came across in Joshua 3:7-8. "And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses. Tell the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: ‘When you reach the edge of the Jordan’s waters, go and stand in the river.’”

This is very interesting because God had already promised Joshua that He would part the Jordan River for them (Joshua 1:11). He told them to stand in the river. Standing in the river and hoping it would part is a stark difference from watching the river part, then standing in it. It meant they had to trust God's promise that He would part the river as they quite literally stood in faith. As there is a sharp change in elevation between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea, there would have been a strong flow of water.

If God has given you a promise but the way to get to it seems too hard, go to the place where He is telling you to stand in faith and step into the river trusting His provision!
