Before you decide to head out to Sephora or Ulta Beauty, and spend $20 on an Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick, I thought it would be a good idea to share my thoughts on some of the shades I picked up recently glamour babes, so listen up!

So many colors (nudes, berries, reds, pinks, browns, etc...) so many to choose from, 27 to be exact! Hmmmmmmm, well this was an overwhelming experience, thank god for testers, lol! I felt that American Doll, Carina, Seraphine, and Heathers were by far the prettiest against my fair complexion.

American Doll is a classic blue red.

Carina is an intense watermelon.

Seraphine is a deep blue red.

Heathers is described as a brownish oxblood.

Out of the 4 colors American Doll wound up being my favorite. The formulation of American Doll was lightweight, went on smooth, wore comfortably, not to mention beautifully after application, was a highly pigmented blue red, and set in a matte finish.

The color lasted all day (greasy foods beware) producing no flaky, crumbly lips or feathering. I love this shade and will continue to use it when a new one is needed, totally worth the money.

As for Carina, Heathers, and Seraphina, these three shades were rather disappointing when applied. The formula for this trio was just awful, and felt terrible on the lips, I was pretty bummed out. Not to confuse you, all of ABH Liquid Lipsticks set in a matte finish and they include doe foot wands for easy and precise application.

During the precise application process, I noticed that I had to go over my lips more than once to cover the uneven, splotchy, patchy job these liquid lipsticks produced. The colors were not as vibrant as American Doll, they looked very flat and muted. In seconds Carina, Heathers, and Seraphine started to flake and become crumbly, the formulation was felt sloppy and cakey. I did not get an all day wear out of these obviously, they were soooooo uncomfortable making my lips look and feel drier than the Sahara desert. Also, I had difficulty removing Carina, Heathers, and Seraphine off my lips, these girls seriously did not budge, talk about stubborn, lol. Not to worry though, NYX's Be Gone! Lip Color Remover ($5) saved the day by easily removing these stubborn colors gently and effectively.

You seriously need to buy NYX's Be Gone! If you don't have it in your makeup case already, this stuff is a god send when you encounter matte lipstick calamities such as this. I really expected better from Anastasia Beverly Hills considering the hefty price tag of her liquid lipsticks. Oh well, what could I do? I already paid for them and now they are mine to keep. I can't sweat the small stuff, some lip salve should do the trick to smooth out the dysfunctions these liquid lipsticks carry to my lips. My advice to you if you're still considering trying ABH Liquid Lipsticks. Don't buy four or all twenty-seven, try one and go from there. We don't want to pull a Sam and create more lipstick slip-ups anywhere else, lol

Stay beautiful! Xo.
