Finding the time to exercise is hard. Really hard. Sometimes I just wonder how all those buff-bodied people do it. Where do they get the time? Is there a secret time-increasing machine they have that the rest of us don’t know about?

No, actually there isn’t.

The truth is that nobody trains or works out simply because they have too much time on their hands. Nobody spends time in the gym because they have nothing better to do.

Most people convince themselves, and everyone else who cares to listen, that their lives are just too busy for exercise. There’s too much going on to squeeze in a workout. We tell ourselves these stories all the time.

Those people who have managed to transform their bodies have the same number of hours in a day that you and I do. These are not people who have no responsibilities in life so they just hang around in the gym. They don’t have a machine to manufacture more time for their day.

These people have jobs, families, and social lives too. Just like you and me. But why is it possible for them to do it yet the rest of us struggle to juggle everything?

Here’s the secret:

They planned their days in advance and squeezed in 30 - 45 minutes for exercise.

That’s it. It’s not rocket science. It’s just good, old-fashioned planning. You and I can do it too. Take one hour out of your TV time and use it for exercise. Wake up an hour early on your workout days. Ask someone to watch the kids while you take an hour or less to get yourself in shape.

I have come to realize that the only way to find time to do something is to make it a priority in your life. If you want to find the time to exercise, you always will; not matter how hectic your life is.

So the question is – Are you still too busy to exercise?

Do you find it hard to get time to exercise? Why?

Let me know! I’d love to hear from you!
