Devoid of emotion

When you scream your frustration,

Trying to impose your opinions

With words hard like a hammer.

You might think I'm a nail,

For you try to hit my head,

But let me tell you

Where I do stand it this fight:

My mind is clear,

And my heart is emotionless;

I'm not what you might think,

Namely a damsel in distress.

I know my worth, and I've known it for a while,

You can't just come to me

Expecting to have the words that make me cry.

Those times are long forgotten,

I guess you're caught in the past;

I take pity in you,

My life went on

While yours got blasted by my lack of care

Turning into ashes of despair.

Have inspiration,
