Aubergine et Compagnie, Montrouge, France

On a Wednesday evening, my colleague and I were looking for a place to eat, and we discovered this nice and lovely restaurant Aubergine et Co. By chance, only, I did not hear about it, no review, nothing, juts it looked from outside a nice and good restaurant, not too expensive, but we could feel the ambiance and people were nice.

So we entered, chose a meal, pleasant, faisselle (french fresh and soft cheese ) with vegetables from the current season.
In terms of wines, we caa say that their list is pretty good! we went the for l'Ancienne Mercerie, Au Bonheur des dames

Pretty good Languedoc wine !

I found more information about this domain even if I heard about a long time ago.

It is an AOP Languedoc, Grenache and Mourvèdre 50 % each, a small production, by a couple owning the domain, Nathalie and Francois Caumette on 16 hectares only. Organic production, and hand harvested.

The wine was strong and powerful enough to go with our automnal meal. Lovely Ruby colour, fresh nose, fruity. On the mouth, we could feel the tannins (given by Mourvèdre), with licorice root, red and black fruits along with spices like cinnamon.

I loved this wine! and then, we had enough wine still for dessert, so I went for a Pannacotta, and again, cheese and wine made the deal!
