God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭10-11‬ NLT)
The “rulers and authorities in the heavenly places” are either angels who are witnesses to these events (see 1 Peter 1:12), or hostile spiritual forces opposed to God (2:2; 6:12). It is an awesome privilege to be able to approach God with freedom and confidence. Most of us would be apprehensive in the presence of a powerful ruler. But thanks to Christ, by faith we can enter directly into God’s presence through prayer. We know we’ll be welcomed with open arms because we are God’s children through our union with Christ. Don’t be afraid of God. Talk with him about everything. He is waiting to hear from you. (Tyndal Study Bible)
I think many people in the world don’t understand the Church. Most believe that the Church is the building where we meet every Sunday. That is just the Holy place or sanctuary where we meet. The Church is made up of all off us and includes the sanctuary. We all form part of the Body of Christ the Church. Just as the Human body is made off millions of part, we represent those parts. We all are different. Just like the Body, together we makeup, the Body off Christ. You see all these small parts make the Human body work. In the Church, we need many different people to function successfully as the Body of Christ.
There is a place for every kind of person, we all have different talents. Together we can function and be successful as the Church, the Body of Christ.
As representatives of the Church of Christ, we are mandated by God to display His wisdom in all the variety. We are to be an example to the world, what the promise of God offers. We are mandated as the Church to share the good news. To tell people about Jesus, salvation and the riches of Heaven. And with all of this comes eternal life as well.
Wow, what a privilege this is, first to be mandated and then to be given all these promises.
“Lord I thank you for the Church, the Body of Christ. I pray for wisdom and courage to spread the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus. I Jesus name I pray. Amen"
