2Cor 3:18 [KJV])
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.
I love this scripture. What is it saying exactly?  It is teaching us that as we behold Jesus and all His glory before all we do, we begin to be changed into the very image of Him.

I love this because it’s a perfect faith point. When I’m fellowshipping with The Lord and reading the Word of God I can declare boldly that I am changing into the image of God. Often the devil will try to discourage us to make us think no change is taking place or that we will just never make it. That’s a big fat lie that is borne from condemnation. We must choose to believe whether feelings line up or not that we are in the process of change.

As we see the love and compassion that Jesus walked in, we can begin to receive that as our own and begin to walk it out by faith. I can now go about my day knowing I have the very same love coursing through my veins that Jesus has. Discouragement can just get lost.

This brings us to our 2 Commandments.

(Matt 22:37 [KJV])
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
(Matt 22:38 [KJV])
This is the first and great commandment.
(Matt 22:39 [KJV])
And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
(Matt 22:40 [KJV])
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
If we do these 2 things we actually fulfil the whole law. When we are loving God, we are Covenant focused. Just as I am in a Covenant with my husband, I am aware of the love, honour and respect I need to show my husband. When I am in this place of loving him I’m not going to find myself in a place where I am dishonouring our vows. It is just the same with God. If I am conscience of my Covenant with God and the love He has for me and vice versa, I live my day differently. I begin to represent Him better than if I wasn’t purposely loving Him.

The second commandment is the same. By being conscious of loving others as an act of respecting and honouring my Covenant partner (God) I take the focus off myself and begin to walk in love. When we begin to look at how we can bring joy into others life, the Spirit of God begins to freely flow.

In light of the first scripture we read this is not difficult. If we notice all these processes just requires us to keep our affection set upon Jesus and what He has done. As we do this He begins to complete the work which He first begun. I encourage people to not get overwhelmed. Begin to behold Jesus and allow the Spirit of God to transform you into His image. Don’t receive the thoughts of condemnation but cast them down and receive the truth that you are growing more and more into Gods image every time you choose to behold Him.

Now this is exciting!

Be blessed
