Well well well.. what have we here? Someone who wants to jump on the DIY beauty bandwagon? Hop on! As a lover of all things natural, I think it's important (and fun) to make your own beauty products so that you can control what goes in to bottle (pot, jar, whatever). So that's why I've compiled a short list of face wash recipes that I hope you'll all adore and relish. In no specific order and without further adieu, the wonderful concoctions;

Charcoal facial cleanser from Sparkles of Sunshine

I am so lucky to have found this amazing recipe and blog. Christie is a genius and you should really check out her other posts (no endorsement, I'm just being honest) on her site. She uses activated charcoal, coconut oil, baking soda, lavender oil and rosemary oil to make an all-natural face cleanser that'll leave your skin soft and purified.

Miracle face cleanse from Strawberry Sunburst blog (dat me)

Yeah, yeah.. I know what you're thinking. 'Putting your own recipe on this list? Obnoxious, much', but hear me out on this one. I've been using this for over a year now and I swear by it. A combination of strawberries, olive oil, a lime and lavender come together to make a blemish-clearing cleanser that'll make you feel radiant. I use this recipe every few weeks if I break out, and see almost-instant results. Try it out to see for yourself!

Pumpkin Spice face wash from Busy Being Jennifer

Turns out that pumpkin spice is not only tasty, but is really good for your skin too! I suppose you gotta feel delicious too ;) This recipe only has three ingredients. Three.. so you have no excuse to be lazy. Plus, it uses ingredients that you probably have at home, don't even have to leave the house to look good. How's about that, eh? They are: molasses (mmmmm..), pumpkin spice (okay so maybe this counts as 4, according to Betty Crocker you use: cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves).

Anti-inflammatory Aloe Vera face wash from Pins and Procrastination

So for all you sensitive nellies (when you have super high - maintenance skin like me ;) ), this face wash will be sure to soothe those irritated cells and bring them back to reality. Susie cleverly makes use of: Aloe vera gel, Sweet almond oil (literally a godsend), rosewater (another godsend), lavender essential oil, vitamin e oil (yet another godsend.. when will this woman quit??) and Soapwort extract, which may be a little hard to find but will be so worth the effort. Hey, if you've got any left over you could always try out it's other many uses here and here

Cucumber face wash from Bellatory

Oh I gotta tell you how much I love using cucumbers in skincare.. VERY MUCH! They're so soothing and cooling, they make your skin feel so calm and refreshed. Who needs a spa, right? ;) So, naturally I was going to love this recipe from the outset, but it has other great ingredients too:  honey, castille soap, green tea, aloe vera and.. the purest of all- water! So DAMN fresh. You gotta try this one.

So that's a wrap, folks! I hope you enjoyed this recipe round-up and that you try some of them out. Be sure to keep an eye out for future posts.

Have a good one!
