Black chickpeas are rich in protein. These patties are very easy to make and are super-healthy. A very good way to eat black chickpeas. 

Ingredients
Black chickpeas (100 gms or one large cup.)
2 tsp fresh coriander (chopped)
1 tsp mint leaves (chopped)
1/2 tsp green chillies (chopped)
Bread Crumbs (fine) of 4-5 Fresh Large Bread slices.
4-5 Boiled potatoes medium sized
1 tsp cardamom powder
About 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
2tsp Lime Juice

About 2 tsp salt

Red chilli powder (optional)


Method
Soak the chickpeas overnight. Boil the chickpeas next morning with a little salt till it softens. Drain the water and keep it aside till the chickpeas dry. Grind the chickpeas in your electric grinder. Mash the potatoes, add fresh breadcrumbs and then add the ground chickpeas along with other ingredients and knead it into a smooth dough. While binding the dough add a little oil. Divide the dough into small patties. Spread a little oil on your hands to shape the patties well.


Heat oil in a pan for frying.
Shallow fry till golden brown.
Serve with soy sour cream/mint chutney/tamarind chutney.



TIPS
I suggest using canola or olive oil as they are superhealthy.
Use fresh bread to make it crispy.

Don’t throw away the chickpeas water after you boil it. Drain the black chickpeas water in a bowl or utensil. This water can be used further to make delicious and healthy soups.

You may also use these patties with mutigrain burger buns. Add lettuce, tomatoes, flavoured soy mayo.
