#TimesUp

On Sunday, celebrities donned their elaborate attire for another red carpet, star-studded awards ceremony. The Golden Globes, in its 75th year, lived up to its reputation of being one of the more "popcorn worthy" award shows. This year, many females walked the red carpet all-noir in an attempt to protest sexual assault and shed light on the new initiative, the Times Up Movement. The campaign is working to fight sexual assault and harassment in Hollywood, and around the world. Fashion is a beautifully creative form of protest. Stunning ensembles are always produced when there is clear emotion and purpose put into styling.

"...women's bodies are a battleground..."

Usually, after an event such as the Golden Globes, the media (myself included) creates their lists. You know the lists I'm talking about - you have them too! The collective inventory of looks that you would die for, or die laughing at. However, given the circumstances of the evening, I would find it disrespectful to judge these brave women. Instead, I have chosen my five favorite looks.

5. Samira Wiley

Orange Is The New Black star Samira Wiley glided down the red carpet in the black, strapless Ramona Keveza Collection gown. The ensemble features a colorful bib of ornately arranged flower petals. The elegance and fragility of the floating accent was profound.

4. Reese Witherspoon

The Cecil B Demille Award presenter graced the stage in a sleek, one shoulder, Zac Posen gown. She paired the look with gorgeous Jimmy Choos. Witherspoon was one of the actresses who called for all to wear black to the event as a signal to Hollywood to wake up and take action against sexual assault and harassment within the industry.

3. Margot Robbie

Nominee Margot Robbie pulled herself up by the bootstraps and attended the awards ceremony suffering from the flu! She caught lots of attention in her Roger Vivier dress. The gown featured a plunging neckline and ornate filigree.

2. Viola Davis

This star was making a very personal statement with this look. Davis walked the red carpet in a luxurious Brandon Maxwell dress, while sporting Stuart Weitzman shoes. However, the standout accessory? Her bouncing crown of curls. The award-winning actress decided to show off her natural hair with a healthy, forever trendy afro.

1. Catherine Zeta Jones

Brother in arm, jaws dropped as the Zoro vet graced red carpet in a sexy and shear Zuhair Murad dress. The actress was attending the event to honor her 101 year old father-in-law, Kirk Douglas, for his iconic career. The Murad dress featured solid black filigree, along with an alluring train. The focal point of this look was clearly the 48 year old star's rockin' legs!
