Breaching Boundaries and Diving into Euphoria Like 1 Twitter Mukil Ganesan Follow June 13, 2016, 9:48 p.m. in Life and Styles Views: 891 Like us on facebook Scroll through a Facebook profile of anyone between 15-20. You may find some ultra-emotional posts Whenever I read them, I’m like. Hey, you!! you’re not even out of your school nor you know anything about life other than the cinema hero or heroines’ life history! What the hell is wrong with you! The most cheesy one’s are these “I’m heartbroken”,”My life is over” blah blah blah. Every day we used to meet some emotionally disturbed or depressed people. They maybe our friends, family, relatives or a total stranger.I used to wonder how a person can feel pissed off 24/7. Honestly, I’ve been one of them too ;) All through our education life mostly 50-60 percent of them build our own routines or to say in a better way, fix their boundaries. For few, they may be set by their parents. It’ll be so interesting to note each person’s behavior when he/she enters a new city after completing their 12th grade. One can easily pick out who all have lived totally under their parent's control, who all have lived carefree, who all have had a mixture of both. But college is a place where the 4 years can flex you in any of the ways. You want to develop your skills, follow your dreams, work hard, feel proud of yourself (not too much), enter the journey of success?? Yes, you can. On the other hand, you want to become a rogue?? Absolutely you can!!! There are no limits… It all depends on how you choose to be, what you want to be. So this is all about bringing the awesome part in you! Breaching the boundaries set by you (knowingly or unknowingly) and getting into a new lifestyle. A teacher of mine used to say “Everyday before you sleep, think how far have you reached towards your goal. Your goal can be anything, but think how much have you worked today. Have you advanced at least by a quarter step? If yes, then close your eyes. If it’s a no, get back to work. That’s where you create a difference between yourself and others.” Yes, it was indeed true. I, myself and few friends of mine did this. We used to work day and night (honestly it was not related to academics or engineering). We were selfish about our passion. At the end of the day, we stepped into the journey of success. I think we are deviating from the title of this post :p So getting back. Everybody face difficulties, nobody is a free man/woman here. It all depends on how you jump over your hurdles. A quote from Kung Fu Panda comes to my mind. Po: Maybe I should just quit and go back to making noodles. Master oogway: Quit, don’t quit… Noodles, don’t noodles… You are too concerned about what was and what will be. There is a saying: yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present. Embrace the moment. Live this moment. Enjoy the present. All these phrases almost mean the same. You may be happy or sad or angry or whatever mood you are in doesn’t matter. Learn to live the present. I almost travel 3-4 hours a day to and from between my workplace and home. I may sleep in my cab occasionally. But most of the time I forget about what state I’m in and start looking through the window. 8:00 AM in the morning. The time when school kids walk to their respective bus stops or sit behind their father/mother on a bike. Few will look lousy, few will beam. Few say ‘ta-ta’ to me. My neighbor kid tells me “bye bye UNCLE” (even though I don’t look like one). But whenever he says, a smile strikes my face. Come on! It took just one second for a kid to make you smile. Added to that all through my route I used to see people from all walks of life. I’d be seeing a determined tender coconut seller, an active cobbler, an entrepreneur playing temple run in his Ipad sitting inside an Audi. The list goes on… The Bottomline, try finding joy in whatever you do. Love your job. If you need to love your job, you must dedicate yourself totally to it. Are you working on a highly paying job without any interest? or, are you working just for money?? Then again! you’ve built your own boundary. Money can be burnt or lost easily, moments of joy and happiness live forever as memories. Break your boundaries and jump into euphoria from this moment Stop complaining and start living.
