The Midwest's premiere Comicon event features amazing entertainment, comic and literary guests, speakers and cosplayer gatherings that happens every April at the McCormick Convention Center in Bronzeville. Overlooking Chicago's beautiful lakefront, three days of fun for the comics lover at heart with plenty of panels, main stage events, ie. C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay and a plethora of notable writers and artists of comic book fame.

This year's popular cosplay were the characters from Gotham and DC Comic's crazy couple, Harley Quinn and Joker.

Gotham Cosplayers: Penguin, Fish Mooney and the Riddler

Some notable guests for C2E2 2018 were Brandon Routh of The Legends of Marvel and Superman Returns. He will be coming to the Superman Celebration this June in Metropolis, IL in case you missed him at C2E2. Also Mark Sheppard of Supernatural, Charlie Cox of Daredevil, Dave Bautista of Guardians of the Galaxy and Svengoolie just to name a few.

The main floor features vendors selling everything from t-shirts, vintage comics, paintings, dolls, plushies, IDs of your fave characters (my personal fave), Wonder Woman hair clips (got those too!) to rainbow anime wigs (yep and those). The Artist's Alley is also a great place to meet artists and see them working on the spot.

Batman and Penguin

C2E2 is a must-go, family friendly event. Tickets for 2019 are on sale already. You can pick from a 3-day pass covering all three days or a 1-day only pass. Either way get it early or you will have to pay $10 more there.

Hope to see you and if you're cosplaying, I'll probably take your picture.
