Before I enter College, there was a time when I’m struggling so much with my thoughts and then I wrote this poem way back when I was in High School to express what I’m feeling on that time and it is entitled “Worry Me”

Worry Me

The day comes to me with a light

The sun is shimmering so bright

But for me it is not right

Because it’s the time that starts me to fright

I walk through the door with caution

Observing everyone’s motion

If someone will have an action

For me with no intentions

I’m afraid to lose everything

I’m afraid who is coming

I feel they are still teasing

While I am just looking

I look it as a reality

It is not just fantasy

For me it is not easy

To let go about my worry

I know it is kind of heavy but after a few months after I wrote that, God revealed to me on how to let go or surrender of those things that worry me or what fears me, and this verse was revealed to me first on that time

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

-Proverbs 9:10 NIV

For me that time it means that the fear of the Lord is the starting point to let go of your worries. You have to submit your fears to God and replace it with the right kind of fear which is THE FEAR OF THE LORD.

Another verse in 1 Timothy 1:7 NKJV says that

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”.

I am very thankful that God still to continue to remind me of this verse. I am still learning about it up until now and every single time whenever I encounter the same situation.

And there is a particular question that totally blown me in Matthew 6:27 and it says that

“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

I came up with the conclusion that worrying for a long time is also wasting your time and it doesn’t accomplish anything. Let me clarify this. I am not saying that we should not worry at all but what I am saying is that I know all of us experience it now and then but it’s a choice on how long you are going to carry that worry.

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”

-1 Peter 5:7 NLT
God totally given me understanding for who He is and truly He cares about us.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

-Matthew 6:33-34 NIV

It takes faith. I know it is a simple instruction to take with an action but I know it is not easy especially if you are struggling about it. But I believe God is so patient that He will be with you until you finally learn how to let go and give it to Him the things you are worrying about.

God Bless! ALL IS WELL
