Can you love me?

With all my faults

angst

fear:

of rejection

of abandonment.

That plagues my soul

and seems to drown me at times

in the thick slushy sand.

I lay my soul bare for you to see

I lay it all down the good and bad

I show you where I am at

a broken woman slaved to sin

but saved by grace

Can you really truly love me

for who I am?

Can you love me?

Unconditionally

and see that I am trying

to be at peace

that I am trying to hold you up

encourage you, support you

whilst I prevent myself from

falling falling falling

into the pit of despair.

My hope is at the foot of the cross

my peace comes from God

but I am a woman slaved to sin

striving to live a better life

following the footsteps of Jesus

Can you truly love me

for who I am?

Can you love me?

Can you see that I am trying to be still

trying to be silent

Can you love me?

Can you really truly love me?
