Someone gave me directions the other day and they finished by saying, “You can’t miss it.”  I responded by telling them, “Yes I can.”  No matter how clear the instructions are, or how obvious the destination, it is always possible for someone to get lost or miss the desired location.  That is why it is important to listen to instructions, make sure they are understood and then follow them precisely.

Many feel that heaven is one of those ‘you can’t miss it’ destinations.  That is far from the truth.  Luke 13:24 says. “Exert every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.” (NET)

Going to church every week will not get you into heaven.  Simply doing good works, although admirable, will not get you there.  Neither will praying every day.  Out of all the things that can be done with the hope of getting to heaven, only one has any value.  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  (KJV)  Believing on Jesus as your Saviour is the only way.
