How things change.  I grew up going to the store with a few pennies to buy penny candy.  Today’s children don’t even know what a penny is.  I had to get up and walk across the room to turn on the TV or change channels.  Today’s generation has TV on their phone.  If I went to any store to buy something I had to have cash with me.  Today we are approaching a cashless society.  For many, change can be scary.  They never quite know what to expect.

James 1:17 tells us, “Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” (NLT)  Not only does everything that is good and perfect come from Him, He will never change.  If He makes a promise, it will stand forever.  If He says something is going to happen, it will.  He cannot lie and He cannot change.  That is a comforting thought.  His offer of salvation is always open to all and it will never be pulled away.  A person can reject it, but God’s offer will never change.
