"No one can persuade another to change. Each of us guards a gate of change that can only be opened from the inside. We cannot open the gate of another, either by judgement of by emotional appeal." ~ Marilyn Ferguson.

We are ultimately responsible for our own lives.

Our choices are ours and ours alone.

No matter the circumstances or the hand that life has dealt us.

We choose our response.

We decide how to proceed.

The results we get today are based on choices we have made in the past.

No matter how badly we wish for change in another, we cannot force it upon them.

We can lead, provide good examples and encourage.

Change is frightening.

It paralyses.

It is unknown. We are comfortable and safe within the known.

Change is something we can learn to accept as a constant in our lives.

We can anticipate it.

It is the only thing we can be sure of. Along with death.

Change brings opportunity.

When we try to force change we often encourage others to defend their position, which can strengthen their original view point.

What changes do you want to make?
