When I look back at my younger years I am amazed at how much things have changed in my life time.  Men going into space was a scary and exciting adventure.  Our tv only had two channels, and they were in black and white.  Telephones were attached to the wall by a cord.  Air conditioning in a car was driving with the windows open.  Games were played outside in a field.  We felt safe walking around our neighbourhood after dark.  When calling on friends we often just knocked and walked in.  Yes, things are very different today, both in technology and attitudes of society.

Hebrews 13:8 tells us, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” (KJV)  If He never changes, then the way He expects us to behave does not change either.  The rules He laid down for us thousands of years ago are still relevant today.  They were laid down for the good of the people then, and they are still there for the good of people today.  We need to read and study His teachings, but we also need to do what they say.
