A long weekend away and I came back refreshed mentally and renewed spiritually.

It has been two years since I joined the previous short medical mission trip organised by our church to the interior of our home state.  I am not a medical doctor nor a dentist that would be involved in providing basic medical care to the villagers so I was assigned the role of a photographer for this trip.

When it was all done I realised what I thought was a simple role was not that simple after all.  My viewing of things through the lens of my camera allowed me to see what was going on around me closely and in a perspective that was rather different from others'.  I was enlightened by the overall experience and by the end of this more than a medical mission trip, my faith level was elevated as it was unmistakably a God-encountering weekend!

Put aside the long car journey, very basic accommodation, even more basic sanitary facilities, the inconvenience, the fatigue, the unfamiliar --- what else was there to gain but the sense of accomplishment and fulfillment of serving God in this short but rewarding trip of community service with a difference?

My complete 2-part journey with colourful and carefully chosen pictures is here for your reading pleasure.  Hope you enjoy the whole journey with me and be blessed.  Thank you in advance for reading.  Shalom, and God bless!
