Everything you've ever wanted is on the other side of fear

      - George Addair

We are in a constant battle with our fears in life sometimes we choose not to face them that is when we limit ourselves but what's worse is the aftermath, which is the regrets. No matter how much you want to do something will never have a meaning if you always let your fear win. The thing is fear will always be present in different aspects of our lives but the only difference that we can make is are we going to face it or are we going to run away from it? But the question here is,

How can we conquer it?

Even if I will give you a step by step on how can you conquer it, when you are in the situation, all you can do is be nervous and you can't think straight trust me you'll just go crazy. So how will you be able to conquer it? Just do it afraid, face it with your weak heart. That's what will make you brave. After you overcome it, you proved to yourself that you can do it and only you alone can limit yourself. Fear will never go away, it's a matter of how much you want to do something will help make it disappear. I believe, when you truly want something you will not let anything or anyone get in your way. Afraid of bad outcomes? Come on, we only live once and do you think people will care? They will but after a week or so, people will have another business they will meddle about but have a thought of you old and weary reminiscing and regretting the chances you didn't take because you let fear win.

I did something reckless last summer and did it afraid. It was one of the craziest decisions I did in my life. We were in Fortune, Island in Nasugbu, Batangas and the main activity there is cliff jumping.

I know to myself that I cannot swim, knowing that and seeing the strong waves plus the deep ocean is pretty nerve-wracking. I was just sitting by the rocks and watching the tourists jump for almost 30 minutes until we were the only one left. I swear I told myself I didn't travel here for long hours for nothing and I didn't want to go home without trying cliff jumping because it's in my bucket list. I stood by the cliff, took a gulp of air and jumped with fear and swam and discovered that I could swim but my friend was there in the corner to save me in case I was drowning and he's grabbing me and  I can remember saying "I can do it, I can swim" then I was brave enough to jump in the highest level and went home with a big bruise in my right leg because I had a bad landing. Nonetheless, it was worth it. I was very much afraid jumping but the important is I mounted brave.

This may sound cliché but I'm going to leave you with this anyway,

You only live once, if you do it right, once is enough

and never let fear be a hurdle to something you really want to do
