The recipe for my custard cookies:



750ml Cake Flour
120ml Sugar
250ml Margarine (Room temperature)
120ml Custard Powder
20 ml Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
2 Eggs
5ml Vanilla Essence


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Using an electric mixer, beat the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla essence to the margarine mixture.
  4. Sift the flour, custard powder, baking powder and salt.
  5. Mix the ingredients until you have a stiff dough. (Best to use your hands).
  6. Make little balls and place them in a baking tray.
  7. Use a fork to squish the balls down a bit.
  8. Bake in the oven for 12 – 14 minutes.
