‘Everyone knows Daisy Jones & The Six, but nobody knows the reason behind their split at the absolute height of their popularity . . . until now.

Daisy is a girl coming of age in L.A. in the late sixties, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s twenty, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things.

Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne. On the eve of their first tour, his girlfriend Camila finds out she’s pregnant, and with the pressure of impending fatherhood and fame, Billy goes a little wild on the road.

Daisy and Billy cross paths when a producer realizes that the key to supercharged success is to put the two together. What happens next will become the stuff of legend.’

This book was captivating.

I honestly didn’t know what to expect with this book, but I loved it.

Told in the format of interviews, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to connect with the characters. I needn’t have worried. I was hooked from the first page. I was almost compelled to read this book in one sitting, I just didn’t want to put it down.

I loved getting to see the same situation told from multiple points of view. I also loved that each person had a different memory of what had happened. The reader was left to decide who was telling the truth about any given situation.

You know a book is good when you start questioning and even have to check if it is a true story or not. That is was happened for me with this book. Based on what I saw online while I was checking; a lot of people felt the same way as I did.

Taylor Jenkins Reid has done a fantastic job with this book. Even knowing that it is fiction I am still having trouble believing that this didn’t actually happen. I cant remember ever having a reaction like this to a novel before. That is the magic of what Taylor Jenkins Reid created.

If you haven’t yet read this book, do yourself a favour and get yourself a copy now.

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid will take you on a wild ride and leave you wanting more.
